Academy Award-nominated actress Margot Robbie, 34, is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, 34. The couple, who met on the set of “Suite Française” in 2013, married in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2016.
Robbie and Ackerley are not only partners in life but also collaborators through their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. The company has produced several successful projects, including “I, Tonya,” “Birds of Prey,” and “Barbie,” all of which star Robbie.
The pregnancy news was confirmed by multiple sources to People, following speculation after Robbie was seen with a baby bump during a holiday in Lake Como. She was photographed in a white crop top, showing her midriff.
Ackerley recently shared insights into their work-life balance, describing it as seamless, with no strict boundaries between their personal and professional lives. “We spend 24 hours a day together,” he told The Sunday Times. “It’s all become one thing.”
Despite their high-profile careers, the couple has kept their personal lives private. Representatives for Robbie and Ackerley have not commented on the pregnancy news.
Robbie, known for her roles in films like “Suicide Squad” and “Barbie,” has also been involved in producing several Hollywood films. She co-produced Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” which received a nomination for Best Picture at the 2024 Oscars.
