Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has been officially appointed as the head of the Oteniya branch of the prestigious King Kosoko royal family in Lagos. The appointment was formalized on October 12, when Kosoko was presented to the Oloriebi in Council.
Alongside this role, Kosoko was also reaffirmed as the official Ambassador of the King Kosoko family. He took to Instagram to express his gratitude, saying, “I pray that Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, gives me the wisdom to contribute to the unity and progress of the family.”
As the head of the Oteniya branch, Jide Kosoko is now responsible for promoting unity, preserving the family’s cultural heritage, and ensuring the progress of the royal lineage. This new role adds to Kosoko’s long-standing contributions as a cultural icon and ambassador of his family’s rich legacy.
