Popular influencer VeryDarkBlackMan has claimed that several celebrities, including actress Iyabo Ojo and skit makers, attended Davido’s wedding without proper invitations. In a video shared on Instagram, he asserted that these individuals were only invited to the after-party, not the main wedding ceremony.
VeryDarkBlackMan challenged these celebrities to post pictures of their official invitation cards and any photos taken with the bride and groom during the main event to prove they were officially invited. He specifically mentioned Iyabo Ojo, Papaya Ex, and Nkechi Blessing in his claims, stating that their presence at the main wedding was unauthorized.
In the video, he said, “See this Aunty Ode (referring to Iyabo Ojo) did they invite you to the after-party? All these Iyabo, yeye yeye skitmakers no get level. Papaya only had access to the after-party, they could not access Davido at the main event. Davido only acknowledges me, Osimhen, Jojo Zaza, and the other main men. Apart from those who came to perform and surprise Davido at the after-party, the remaining ones snuck in. They almost bounced Nkechi Blessing and her invite only gave access to one person, which is why she left her partner at home.”
Iyabo Ojo responded by posting evidence that she was indeed invited to the wedding. The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with some users criticizing VeryDarkBlackMan for his comments and others supporting his claims.
