Halle Bailey and rapper DDG have announced their separation, just 10 months after welcoming their son, Halo. The couple, who began dating in late 2021, shared the news through a heartfelt message on DDG’s Instagram on October 3. Despite ending their romantic relationship, the pair emphasized that they remain best friends and are committed to co-parenting.
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” DDG wrote. “Our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and will continue to support one another as we focus on co-parenting and our individual journeys.”
The announcement came as a surprise to fans, especially after the couple had shared moments from a family vacation in Italy in July, showing off their son for the first time. However, rumors of trouble had surfaced earlier in the year when Bailey addressed breakup speculation in April, calling the rumors “false.”
While the split marks the end of their nearly three-year relationship, both Bailey and DDG are focused on moving forward positively for the sake of their son. Neither has commented further on the details of their separation.
