Amid public outcry, Fuji singers Pasuma and Portable attended a praise night event organized by the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos State.
In a viral video spotted by Osun Defender, both singers were seen at the praise night engaging in conversation.
Controversy arose when a promotional flyer featuring Pasuma and Portable’s participation circulated widely on social media, sparking widespread criticism. Concerns were addressed by the Shepherd-in-charge, Olatosho Oshoffa, who took to social media. Following discussions with the overseeing clergyman of the hosting parish, Oshoffa confirmed that the controversial artists would no longer be part of the scheduled celebration.
In an official statement on his Facebook page, Oshoffa reassured the Celestians, stating,
“Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters. He has promised that the said contested artists would NOT come for the Nights.”
However, defying the directive of the church leadership, the two singers were spotted at the praise night while the event activities were being done.
