Highlife sensation Flavour N’abania mourns the loss of his father, Benjamin Onyemaechi Okoli. Flavour shared the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing his grief with the poignant phrase “God gives. God takes,” in Igbo. Alongside a touching throwback video of him performing for his late father, he bid farewell with the words “Nna m. Papa Ijele. Rest well.”
The cause and date of his father’s passing remain undisclosed. However, Flavour’s post garnered condolences from fans and colleagues. Born Chinedu Okoli in Enugu, Flavour began his musical journey at 13, playing drums for his church choir. He released his debut album ‘N’abania’ in 2005 and has since become a household name in highlife music, releasing eight albums including ‘Flavour of Africa’ and ‘Ijele The Traveler’.
