Country artist Zach Bryan has announced his breakup with social media star Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, citing personal struggles and a challenging year. In an Instagram story post on Tuesday, Bryan expressed respect and gratitude toward LaPaglia, acknowledging her support while he faced personal difficulties. “She has loved me unconditionally… I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways,” he wrote, adding, “I’m not perfect and never will be.”
However, LaPaglia revealed that she felt caught off guard by Bryan’s announcement, responding in her own post that she was “blindsided” and had not been informed of his decision to go public about their split. In a brief video, LaPaglia, visibly emotional, told fans, “I had no idea that post was going up. He didn’t text or call me.”
The breakup marks the end of the couple’s public relationship, which began in July 2023. In response to Bryan’s message, LaPaglia requested time and space to heal privately, thanking her fans for their kind messages.
Bryan’s ex, Deb Peifer, also spoke out amid the news, clarifying on TikTok that she feels no satisfaction in others’ pain, saying, “I don’t find any gratification in other people hurting. Emotions are complicated, and I don’t feel better because other people are hurting.”
Both Bryan and LaPaglia have asked for privacy as they process their split, hoping for support and understanding from their fans as they move forward separately.
