Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, was rushed to a hospital after falling ill while in police custody following his arrest at the Seme border in Lagos.
Bobrisky, who was detained by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) while allegedly attempting to leave the country, developed chest pains while being held at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon. He was swiftly transferred to Falomo Police Hospital for treatment.
A source confirmed, “Bobrisky complained of severe chest pain and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for immediate medical care.”
The NIS described Bobrisky as a “person of interest” and stated that the arrest was part of efforts to secure Nigeria’s borders. His legal situation remains under investigation, with authorities likely to seek an order for his continued detention.
Further updates on Bobrisky’s condition and the investigation are expected soon.
