Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated third studio album, “Lungu Boy.” The album, set for release on Friday, August 9, 2024, includes 13 tracks and a bonus song titled “Fuji Vibe.”
Asake, known for his energetic performances and unique sound, shared the tracklist on his Instagram page. The album boasts an impressive lineup of international collaborations, featuring Nigerian superstar Wizkid, American hip-hop icon Travis Scott, British rappers Stormzy and Central Cee, and Brazilian singer Ludmilla.
Earlier this year, Asake released the single “Wave” featuring Central Cee, which is also included in the album. The announcement comes amid Asake’s “Lungu Boy World Tour,” which kicked off on June 26 at Afro Nation Portugal and will wrap up on October 6 at the Promiseland Festival in Gold Coast.
Since debuting in 2022 with his album “Mr Money With The Vibe,” Asake has quickly risen to prominence in the global music scene. His 2023 album “Work of Art” garnered widespread acclaim and led to a sold-out performance at London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, where he delivered a show-stopping set that left fans in awe.
Asake’s upcoming album “Lungu Boy” is expected to further solidify his status as a leading figure in Afrobeats, blending diverse musical influences and showcasing his talent alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.
