Ariana Grande has issued a heartfelt apology to Elvira, the horror icon famously known as Cassandra Peterson, after being accused of rude behavior during a past event.
During a recent Q&A at Knott’s Scary Farm, Elvira recounted an awkward encounter with Grande that happened several years ago. According to Elvira, Grande attended one of her shows with a large group, requesting tickets for 20 guests. After Elvira graciously posed for photos with all of Grande’s friends and family, she asked to take a photo with the pop star herself. To her surprise, Grande declined, reportedly saying, “No, I don’t really do that.” Elvira further claimed that Grande left before the show started, while her family stayed behind.
The story gained traction online after a clip from the Q&A went viral. In response, Grande apologized publicly through social media, explaining that the incident occurred roughly seven years ago during a period when she was battling anxiety in public settings. Grande expressed dismay at the situation, stating that she doesn’t even recall the encounter due to an anxiety attack that caused her to leave early.
“I’m so disheartened to see this,” Grande wrote in her apology. “If I’m misremembering, I sincerely apologize for offending you. Thank you for being so kind to my mom. You’ll always be our queen of Halloween!”
Grande is currently preparing for her role in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked, set to release in late 2024. Elvira has not yet responded to Grande’s apology, but the interaction has sparked discussions about the pressures celebrities face and the importance of compassion in challenging moments.
