World-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli will perform in South Africa in April 2025 as part of his 30th-anniversary tour. The multi-Grammy Award winner will captivate audiences in Pretoria and Cape Town with three unforgettable performances.
Bocelli will perform at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria on April 12 and 13, followed by a historic outdoor concert at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium on April 16. The Cape Town event is expected to be the largest outdoor classical concert ever held in the city.
These concerts are organized by Big Concerts Experience and supported by local radio stations KFM 94.5, CapeTalk, 702, and 947. In Pretoria, Bocelli will be joined by the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra. In Cape Town, he will perform with The Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, creating a perfect blend of local and international musical talent.
Bocelli last performed in South Africa in 2019, delighting audiences in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Since then, his global appeal has only grown, with over 90 million records sold worldwide and numerous accolades, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
His performances have graced many high-profile events, including those attended by four U.S. presidents, three popes, the British royal family, and various prime ministers. He has also performed at private events, such as the weddings of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker.
Ticket sales for Bocelli’s South African tour will be available in phases. Discovery Bank customers have an exclusive pre-sale opportunity starting at 9 AM on May 22, 2024. The general public can purchase tickets beginning May 24 at 9 AM through Ticketmaster or the Big Concerts website.
