Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in “Creed III” and “Lovecraft Country,” faces new accusations of physical and emotional abuse from two former girlfriends. These allegations come as the 34-year-old actor awaits sentencing for previous charges related to assault and harassment against another former partner.
Emma Duncan, who was engaged to Majors from 2015 to 2019, detailed instances of alleged abuse, including physical altercations and threatening behavior. Another ex-girlfriend, Maura Hooper, also shared her testimony, describing emotional abuse and controlling behavior during their relationship.
Duncan recounted an incident where Majors allegedly choked her and made threats of violence. She also claimed he physically assaulted her on multiple occasions, causing bruising and emotional distress. Similarly, Hooper described feeling isolated and controlled by Majors, stating that he refused to let her seek support or discuss their relationship with others.
In response to these allegations, Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, denied the accusations of physical abuse but acknowledged the toxicity of the relationships. Chaudhry stated that Majors takes responsibility for his role in the relationships but refuted claims of abusive behavior.
Additionally, the investigation revealed complaints from female co-workers on the set of “Lovecraft Country,” where Majors allegedly exhibited threatening behavior and made derogatory remarks. Despite these allegations, Chaudhry asserted that Majors had not been informed of any objections to his conduct on set.
The accusations against Majors come amid ongoing legal proceedings and discussions surrounding his professional conduct. As the actor faces scrutiny and legal challenges, the spotlight remains on issues of abuse and accountability within the entertainment industry.
