Prospective candidates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have lauded the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) for the smooth commencement of the registration process. Candidates, speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan, described the registration as seamless and straightforward.
Temiloluwa Erogbogbo highlighted the ease of generating the registration code and filling out the form from home. She emphasized that the process was not challenging, echoing the sentiments of others who found it convenient.
In a related development, Remita, a leading payment company, has initiated the sale of ePins for the 2024 JAMB registration, offering increased commissions and incentives to agents and schools. The platform aims to simplify the registration process and provide multiple payment options for prospective candidates.
Chinedu Alisa, the Retail Manager at Remita, emphasized the commitment to empowering young people to achieve their academic dreams. The ePINs can be purchased on the Remita platform, offering a hassle-free registration experience.
Prospective candidates can register with their National Identification Number (NIN) by sending an SMS and receive a 10-digit profile code for purchasing ePINs on the Remita website. Remita has introduced various payment options, including bank transfer, debit/credit card, USSD, eNaira, mobile wallet, bank account, and internet banking.
Additionally, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) applauded JAMB for its policy of providing free registration for People Living With Disabilities (PLWD). The NANS President, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, commended JAMB for this inclusive initiative, stating that it would encourage such individuals to pursue their academic dreams without financial constraints.
The sale of UTME ePINs is set to end on February 24, 2024, urging prospective students to take advantage of the seamless registration process provided by JAMB and Remita before the deadline.
