NYSC Mandates NIN for 2024 Batch B Registration

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the National Identity Number (NIN) is a mandatory requirement for the 2024 Batch B registration. This announcement was made on Saturday, June 8, 2024, through the scheme’s official social media handle.

The NYSC stated, “This is to inform all prospective corps members that National Identification Number (NIN) is a compulsory requirement for them to register for NYSC mobilization into national service.”

However, some prospective corps members (PCMs) have encountered issues linking their NIN to the registration platform. In response, the NYSC assured that it is working with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to resolve these technical issues.

“The NYSC is aware of issues affecting the National Identification Number (NIN) linkage in the ongoing online registration for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Service Year,” the NYSC said. They advised all affected PCMs to be patient as efforts are underway to fix the problem.
