The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed the commencement of the Orientation Course for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members. Prospective corps members are instructed to access their call-up letters on their dashboards by Tuesday, with orientation camps open for reporting from June 26 to July 1, 2024. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for July 2, 2024.
Director General Brigadier General YD Ahmed emphasized the importance of safety during travel to the camps, advising against night journeys. Special arrangements have been made for married female corps members, allowing those deployed away from their husbands to request deployment changes at nearby camps with appropriate documentation.
The NYSC also announced logistical adjustments, redirecting some corps members to neighboring states due to capacity constraints, ensuring all participants are accommodated safely during the orientation period.
