Arsenal triumphed 4-2 over Leicester City in a dramatic Premier League clash, with two stoppage-time goals securing the victory and moving the Gunners level on points with league leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal raced to a 2-0 lead in the first half, courtesy of a clinical finish from Gabriel Martinelli, who netted after Jurrien Timber’s cross in the 20th minute. Martinelli then set up Leandro Trossard for a composed strike just before halftime, leaving Leicester with an uphill battle.
Leicester came alive in the second half, with James Justin scoring twice to bring the Foxes back to level terms. His first goal was a header that deflected off Kai Havertz, and his second came from a powerful strike that rattled in off the post after a cross from the left.
Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen played a key role, pulling off several crucial saves to keep his side in contention, including denying efforts from Havertz and Trossard.
In stoppage time, Arsenal finally broke the deadlock when a corner from Bukayo Saka found Trossard, whose shot deflected off Wilfred Ndidi for an own goal. Just minutes later, with Leicester pushing forward for an equalizer, Kai Havertz sealed the win with a close-range finish after Gabriel Jesus’ shot was parried into his path.
The thrilling win lifts Arsenal level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table, while Leicester remains mid-table following the tough defeat.
