The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), revealing a 60.55% pass rate for students who earned five credits or more, including English and Mathematics. Out of 1,367,736 candidates, 828,284 met the key requirement for university admission.
During a press conference on September 19, NECO’s Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, also disclosed that a school in Ekiti State has been de-recognized for mass cheating, while 40 schools across 17 states are under investigation for similar offenses. Additionally, 21 exam supervisors face blacklisting for misconduct during the exams.
