Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, leader of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries, has refuted allegations made by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) that his church is selling unregistered spiritual products under false pretenses. These products, including “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap,” have been advertised as having healing properties, but NAFDAC claims they lack proper regulatory approval.
NAFDAC, in a statement, warned the public about the sale of these unregistered products, noting that the ministry allegedly used the agency’s name to legitimize its offerings. The agency has sealed a factory linked to the production of the spiritual items and is investigating the church for violating regulatory guidelines.
In response, Prophet Fufeyin dismissed the claims, asserting that the church operates within the law and that its products are part of its religious practices, protected by the Nigerian Constitution. He further denied using NAFDAC’s name to deceive the public, labeling the allegations as baseless.
The church explained that it has cooperated with NAFDAC by sending legal representatives to meet with the agency. Additionally, the ministry claims that fake receipts were used by a complainant to instigate the investigation, and that the matter is currently under police review.
While the investigation continues, NAFDAC urges Nigerians to avoid purchasing the church’s spiritual products, which remain unregistered with the agency.
