Social media influencer Alix Earle has publicly apologized for using racial slurs in old posts that recently resurfaced. The comments, made in 2014 when Earle was 13 years old, appeared on the platform Ask.fm and have since circulated widely across social media.
In a statement shared on her TikTok and Instagram Stories, Earle expressed deep regret for her past behavior, acknowledging the harm caused by her words. “I was 13 years old and didn’t understand the deeply offensive meaning behind that word,” she wrote. “That is no excuse. I am deeply sorry that my words have hurt many and have led people to believe that I have any prejudice in my heart.”
Earle also addressed rumors that she had attempted to trademark these old posts to prevent them from being shared further. She categorically denied these claims, calling them “absolutely ridiculous and untrue.” Earle admitted that her initial silence on the matter allowed false rumors to spread, but she took full responsibility for the delay in her response.
The influencer, who has built a large following through beauty and lifestyle content, emphasized her commitment to honesty and transparency with her audience, concluding her statement with another apology for her past actions.
