Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has made serious allegations against fellow artist Davido, accusing him of orchestrating his arrest and threatening his life. In a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Dammy Krane claimed that Davido paid authorities to falsely implicate him in a cryptocurrency and Flutterwave scam.
“If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible,” Dammy Krane wrote, alleging that Davido used his influence to manipulate the police into arresting him under false charges. He described the incident as part of a larger scheme to defame him and warned that such abuses of power could lead to tragic outcomes, similar to the case of the late artist Mohbad.
The feud between the two artists has been ongoing since 2023, when Dammy Krane accused Davido of failing to pay a debt. Davido dismissed the claims, calling Dammy Krane ungrateful. The dispute has since escalated, with Dammy Krane repeatedly accusing Davido of various wrongdoings, including involvement in the 2017 death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike.
In his latest posts, Dammy Krane urged Nigerians to stand against oppression, warning that allowing powerful individuals to act with impunity could have dire consequences. He insisted that his current legal troubles are part of a setup orchestrated by Davido to ruin his reputation and silence him.
