VLBC Mourns the Loss of Rev. Fola Achudume, Wife of General Overseer, at 55

The Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) is grieving the loss of Rev. Fola Achudume, beloved wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, the General Overseer of VLBC. Rev. Fola Achudume passed away early Saturday morning at the age of 55, following a brief illness.

Pastor Adeoye Adeyanju, the Assistant General Overseer of VLBC, announced the tragic news during Sunday service in Abeokuta. “It is with great sadness that I announce to VLBC members, friends, and everyone that our mother, Rev. Fola Achudume, has gone to be with the Lord,” Pastor Adeyanju shared.

Rev. Fola Achudume was celebrated not only as the wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume but also as a dedicated marriage and leadership coach. Her contributions to the spiritual growth and personal development of many have left an enduring impact on the community.

Tunde Oladunjoye, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and a close family friend, confirmed the news, calling it the worst of the year. “Unfortunately, people I contacted have confirmed this devastating news. I am very close to the family and am on my way to offer my condolences. It is hard to believe and deeply saddening. My consolation is that she has joined the saints,” Oladunjoye expressed.

The church, in a statement issued by David Lawrence-Achudume on its Facebook page, reflected on Rev. Fola Achudume’s impactful life with heavy hearts and gratitude. “With heavy hearts and gratitude to God, we announce the transition of our esteemed Lead Pastor, Rev. Fola Achudume, unto glory. Her passing occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2024. As a teacher, prophet, pastor, mentor, role model, and mother, she touched countless lives, inspiring many to grow in their faith and walk closely with the Lord,” the statement read.

The VLBC community and all who knew Rev. Fola Achudume will remember her as a beacon of faith, leadership, and compassion. Her legacy will continue to inspire those she touched through her ministry and coaching.
