Lucy-Bleu Knight, the 25-year-old stepdaughter of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, has passed away. The news was shared on Sunday by Slash (Saul Hudson) and his longtime partner, Meegan Hodges, Lucy-Bleu’s mother, via Instagram.
“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024,” the statement read.
“Lucy-Bleu was a talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Lucy-Bleu’s death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office, but the cause of death has not yet been determined.
In a poignant turn of events, a post appeared on Lucy-Bleu’s Instagram account hours after her death was announced, leading many to believe it was scheduled in advance. The message read: “Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity — I am sorry. Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart, and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”
Slash, 58, shares sons London, 21, and Cash, 20, with ex-wife Perla Ferrar. London, who is also a musician, paid tribute to Lucy-Bleu by sharing a family statement and an illustration of her with angel wings on his Instagram story, captioning it, “Rest In Paradise Lucy.”
Slash and Hodges, who dated in the late 1980s and rekindled their relationship after Slash’s divorce in 2014, expressed their deep sorrow and requested privacy during this challenging time. The news of Lucy-Bleu’s passing also led to the cancellation of several dates on Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase,” Slash announced on social media. The tour is set to resume on July 28 in Toronto, Canada.
The family, fans, and friends continue to mourn the loss of Lucy-Bleu Knight, remembering her as a bright and loving individual whose legacy will live on in their hearts.
