Jake Paul and Mike Tyson have officially set their fight date for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, following Paul’s decisive victory over Mike Perry. The match will be broadcast on Netflix.
After watching Paul defeat Perry via TKO in the sixth round, Mike Tyson expressed his readiness for the bout by sharing a detailed countdown on social media. The 58-year-old former heavyweight champion assured fans he is healthy and eager for the upcoming match.
Following his victory, Paul conveyed respect for Tyson but made his intentions clear. “Mike, I love you, but this is my sport now,” Paul said. “You’re a legend, and it’s an honor to share the ring with you. But I want to take your throne.”
Paul also revealed he fought Perry with a swollen, nearly broken knuckle but emphasized it wouldn’t affect the scheduled fight with Tyson. “I’m a warrior,” he asserted.
Despite concerns about Tyson’s age from figures like Conor McGregor, both fighters are committed to the November 15 match. Tyson’s social media post included a countdown: “Countdown begins: 118 days, 16 weeks and 6 days, 17 weekends, 2,832 hours, 169,920 minutes, 10,195,200 seconds. Clock Starts Now.”
The fight was initially postponed due to Tyson experiencing a health scare. However, Tyson has since recovered, and both fighters are focused on the upcoming bout.
Paul emphasized his readiness to take risks and prove doubters wrong. “Everyone said that this is a mistake taking this fight… But that’s why I’m here. I take big risks. I put it on the line.”
