Throughout her career, Bofill released several albums that left an indelible mark on the R&B and jazz genres, including “Angel of the Night” and “Too Tough,” the latter yielding the hit “I’m On Your Side.” Despite facing health challenges following strokes in 2006 and 2007, which affected her speech and mobility, she remained an inspirational figure in music.
