The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of 10,000 successful candidates for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as constables and specialists. This recruitment, which spanned all 774 local government areas in the country, involved a rigorous selection process to ensure fairness and competence.
The successful applicants include 9,000 for general duty roles and 1,000 for specialist positions. PSC Chairman Solomon Arase emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and excellence in the recruitment process, stating that these new recruits represent the future of Nigeria’s security.
The recruitment process began in October 2023, with 609,886 applications received. After a series of screenings, including computer-based tests and medical evaluations, the list was narrowed down to the final 10,000 candidates.
Candidates can check their application status using their national identification number (NIN) on the PSC’s dedicated webpage. Arase highlighted that the list is presented in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act of 2023 to ensure the privacy and safety of the recruits.
