Former US President Donald Trump debuted his “Trump Sneakers” line at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia on Saturday, February 17, just a day after being ordered by a New York judge to pay nearly $355 million in a civil fraud trial.
The “NEVER SURRENDER HIGH-TOP SNEAKER,” priced at $399, quickly sold out online, with 1,000 pairs available for purchase. Trump also offers two other sneaker versions with “T” and “45” logos for $199 each, along with cologne and perfume for $99 each.
Trump, eyeing a potential 2024 presidential run, expressed confidence in the success of his sneaker venture, emphasizing that it’s been in the works for over a decade.
Following his sneaker launch, Trump is set to address supporters in Michigan, marking his first public appearance since facing legal challenges in New York. A state judge confirmed that Trump’s criminal trial in a hush money case will commence on March 25. Additionally, Trump and his companies were recently ordered to pay nearly $355 million for inflating property values.
With these legal setbacks, Trump’s total fines amount to approximately $438 million over the past four weeks.
