A forensic and intelligence analyst from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Bwaigu Fungo, revealed that Cyril Ndifon, the suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar, had forwarded videos sent by a witness named TKJ to another number.
Fungo stated that a total of 16 nude videos were found on Ndifon’s phone, with only three belonging to TKJ, a diploma of law graduate who testified against Ndifon. TKJ accused the suspended dean of demanding sexual favors and her virginity in exchange for admission into the LLB program. She also alleged that Ndifon forced her to perform sexual acts in his car in front of her hostel.
Ndifon is facing trial for alleged sexual harassment and gratification against TKJ and others. His lawyer, Sunny Anyanwu, is also implicated for allegedly advising TKJ to ignore the ICPC’s summons.
During the trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Fungo, the fourth witness, disclosed that Ndifon forwarded TKJ’s nude videos to another number ending with 617. He further explained that some of the videos were recorded while being played on the phone.
Fungo said, “We observed that the videos received were forwarded to another subscriber. What I mean is that the nude videos sent by TKJ to the professor were sent to another number. That number ends with 617. There was also a video sent by TKJ and another phone was used to record the video while being played on the phone. ”
“A total of 16 nude videos were extracted from his phone among which TKJ sent three, “Fungo said.
Under cross-examination, Fungo confirmed that the videos were not voluntarily sent based on forensic analysis. Ndifon’s lawyer requested a playback of the videos to verify TKJ’s movements, to which Fungo affirmed there was movement.
“Based on our analysis, the act of TKJ was involuntarily done,” the analyst said.
The court granted an adjournment for further cross-examination and ordered the Nigerian Correctional Service to provide medical attention to Ndifon, the second defendant, before returning him to custody. The trial will resume on February 14.
