As the world marked the first anniversary of the tragic death of renowned rap star AKA and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, police provided updates on the investigation into their murders.
AKA and Tibz were fatally shot outside Wish restaurant in Florida, Durban, a year ago. Police revealed that progress had been made in identifying suspects, with some already in custody and others on the run.
Brigadier Athlenda Mathe emphasized the sensitivity of the matter, assuring affected families and the public of the dedicated efforts of law enforcement. She stated that the investigation, driven by prosecution, had yielded critical evidence.
Mathe acknowledged limited communication with the families due to the sensitive stage of the investigation but pledged improvement in the future.
