On February 8th, the Adamawa police command, working alongside the military, apprehended four individuals suspected of kidnapping Aminu Alhaji Shehu and Ali Alhaji Shehu from Tudun Wada in Michika Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as Abubakar Abdullahi (39), Ibrahim Garba (35), Isa Ahmadu (30), and Bulama Ahmadu (20), were captured following their alleged involvement in the abduction at the residence of Alhaji Shehu Ali.
According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson for the command, the arrests were made as part of a coordinated effort between the police and hunters at Gamu Hill. This operation also led to the neutralization of one of the syndicate members responsible for kidnapping activities in Jada, Ganye, and surrounding villages, along with the recovery of an AK-47 rifle.
AIG Afolabi Babatola, Assistant Inspector General of Police, expressed satisfaction with the success of the operation and encouraged continued collaboration among law enforcement agencies to combat crime effectively.
