Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, is witnessing protests following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Protesters have blocked the Lafia-Jos road, causing disruptions, and set tires on fire along the route. Motorists are forced to find alternative routes to exit the capital.
Mallam Dogo Audu, an automobile mechanic, urged an increase in security presence to restore peace. The unrest has led to the sudden closure of shops, business centers, and schools in the Lafia metropolis.
