Fresh from concluding the North American leg of her “Scarlet Tour,” Doja Cat is set to break new ground with the first-ever Virtual Reality (VR) concert experience. In collaboration with Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, and The Diamond Bros, the rapper will bring her iconic tour into the virtual world with “Doja Cat: The Scarlet Tour in VR.”
This immersive concert, filmed at the Detroit date of the tour, promises a captivating blend of reality and imagination, featuring cutting-edge visuals and beats. The VR experience will showcase highlights from the tour, including the Detroit performance at Little Caesars Arena in December.
Fans can anticipate an exhilarating journey into Doja Cat’s musical world, enjoying hit songs like ‘Paint the Town Red,’ ‘Agora Hills,’ and ‘Woman’ in a groundbreaking VR environment. The concert will premiere in VR on January 20 at 3 am (South African time) in Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley.
This innovative project follows a similar venture by Meta with Jack Harlow titled “No Place Like Home.” The Diamond Bros, known for their prowess in producing immersive experiences, collaborated with Meta to create this unique and unforgettable VR concert.
Expressing her excitement about the project, Doja Cat said, “Bringing ‘The Scarlet Tour’ to life was an amazing experience for me. To now be able to share the live show through VR with Meta and The Diamond Bros for ‘Doja Cat: The Scarlet Tour in VR’ is a perfect way for fans who did not get to come to a show to feel like they did. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have created.”
Josh Diamond, Director and Executive Producer at The Diamond Bros, praised Doja Cat’s dynamic performance and stage design, noting that it seemed purpose-built for VR. The concert will be available exclusively in VR on Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley, offering a unique and accessible experience to Meta Quest VR headset owners in select regions.
Fans can RSVP for the event, and replays will be available for a few weeks in Meta Horizon Worlds after the concert, ensuring widespread access to this groundbreaking VR concert experience.
