Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), is at the center of one of the country’s largest scandals, involving over 300 explicit tapes. These tapes, allegedly featuring Baltasar with numerous women, including married women, surfaced after his arrest on corruption charges. The footage reportedly includes encounters with his brother’s wife, his cousin, and a sister of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema.
The tapes were discovered during an investigation into financial misconduct and were found on Baltasar’s computer. Scenes reportedly took place in his office, hotels, and other locations, recorded with the participants’ consent. Since the leak, clips have been circulating widely online, drawing significant public backlash.
The scandal was amplified by social commentator Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, who shared details of the incident on social media. Baltasar, a married father of six, is now embroiled in what many consider the largest and most controversial scandal in recent Equatorial Guinean history.
