Leicester City held newly promoted Ipswich Town to a 1-1 draw, extending Ipswich’s wait for their first Premier League win of the season. Leif Davis scored a stunning volley in the 55th minute, celebrating his 100th appearance by giving Ipswich the lead. However, Ipswich’s advantage was compromised after Kalvin Phillips received a second yellow card in the 77th minute, reducing the home side to 10 men.

Ipswich pushed on but were denied a penalty after Conor Chaplin was fouled in the box, leading to frustration from Ipswich fans and players alike. In stoppage time, Leicester equalized through Jordan Ayew, who completed a quick one-two with Jamie Vardy and netted to secure a point.

With the draw, Ipswich remain in 18th place with five points, while Leicester sit in 15th. Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna expressed disappointment over the missed penalty call, stating, “There’s a sense of injustice in the room.”
