Nollywood Actress Eniola Badmus Takes Legal Action Against Lady Accusing Her of Pimping Politicians
Okoye Blessing Nwakego, popularly known as Ego, a TikTok personality, has faced the consequences of her actions as she was arrested and brought before a Federal High Court in Lagos. The court found her guilty of cyberstalking and sentenced her to two years in prison.
The charges against Ego stemmed from her false accusation against Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus. Ego, along with another individual named Chimabia, allegedly conspired to commit cyberstalking, an offense punishable under the cybercrimes act, between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos.
During the court proceedings, Ego was convicted on two counts and received a sentence of one year in prison with the option of paying a N50,000 fine on count one. For count two, she received a two-year prison sentence and a fine of N100,000. The court ordered that the sentences be served consecutively, although the terms of incarceration would run concurrently.
It was reported that Ego opted to pay the fines, which amount to N150,000, in order to secure her release from prison.
