New York’s rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine comes through with a new hit titled “GOOBA.”
The song was released on May 8, 2020, as the first single after his prison release on April 2, 2020.
A month after its release, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s first single after leaving prison, ‘GOOBA’, continued to be a success as it achieved Platinum status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), indicating that it has sold the equivalent of one million units in the United States. The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In May 2020, the music video for “Gooba” was removed from YouTube on a temporary basis following a copyright complaint by Kenyan producer Magix Enga. He alleged that the song sampled one of his works without proper authorization.
