XXXTENTACION comes through with another great track titled “Jocelyn Flores“. Jocelyn Flores was a friend of X who suffered from depression and committed suicide in May 2017, while staying with him in Florida for a photoshoot. He posted tweets about the situation, but they were later deleted.
He previously dedicated the song “Revenge” to Jocelyn shortly after she died – he didn’t discuss her death on the track, although he wrote it in the song’s description on SoundCloud, “Rest in peace, Jocelyn, I will have my revenge upon the world.”
This song was performed over “im closing my eyes,” a potsu-produced song that samples the lyrics from Shiloh Dynasty’s “I Knew You So Well.” Two other tracks on 17 were also produced by potsu: “Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares” and “Carry On.”
