Tiwatope Savage popularly known as Tiwa Savage was born 5 February 1980. She is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Isale Eko Lagos State, she relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education.

Tiwa was a trombone player for her school’s orchestra band while attending secondary school. Savage graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Kent and started working at The Royal Bank of Scotland. She did backup vocals for English singer George Michael at the age of 16, and lent vocals to other musicians such as Mary J. Blige, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, and Ms. Dynamite. Tiwa Savage‘s net worth is estimated to be about $15 million USD.

Tiwa Savage competed in the UK edition of The X Factor and progressed to the final 24, but ended up being the 12th person to be evicted in 2006. In 2007, Tiwa Savage enlisted at Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in professional music.
