Rapper Meek Mill has admitted that he’s apologized to Vanessa Bryant over his disrespectful lyrics in a song, which made reference to her husband’s death in a helicopter crash. On Feb. 23, Meek Mill took to his Twitter yet again amid reactions over a Kobe name drop in his unreleased song. While the line first impelled criticism nearly a week ago, the late basketball legend’s widow Vanessa Bryant called him out publicly on Monday, Feb. 22.
In the leaked song, Meek Mill rapped: “Yeah, if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”
The lyrics didn’t sit well with Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, who later called him out to say the line in the song was “extremely insensitive and disrespectful.”
Shortly after getting called out, Meek wrote on Twitter: “I’m going back savage in this shit… f**k ya feelings.”
He has now taken to his page to reveal that he’s apologized to Vanessa in private and denied his “f**k ya feelings” tweet was directed to her.
