Selena Gomez has finally come out to clear the air on the heat generated by her most recent song. There has been negative reactions following her ex Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Baldwin post of a screenshot of herself listening to Summer Walker’s “I’ll Kill You” minutes after Gomez’s first breakup track, “Lose You to Love Me,” came out on Wednesday.
Music Fans believe it was a threat to Selena Gomez. Baldwin later clarified in a since-deleted Instagram comment that her post had nothing to do with Gomez. “Please stop with this nonsense,” Baldwin wrote. “There is no ‘response.’ This is complete BS.”
However how comment did not really do much to make people stop talking about her post. Selena Gomez has taken a bold step to clear the air. She told fans “I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I’m so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. If you’re my fans, don’t be rude to anybody, please. Don’t go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. And just please, from me, know that that’s not my heart. My heart is only to release things that I feel that are me and that I’m proud of. And that’s all that I’ll say, yeah.”
She continued later, “Again, please be kind. Please, please, please be kind. I don’t like seeing people being disrespectful or rude to other people, so please don’t do that.”
