A collaboration between the was anticipated since March 8, 2016. When rumors began that Thug was working on a remix of John’s “Rocket Man.” The two were later pictured together on March 23, 2016, furthering the collab rumors. Thug’s remix of “Rocket Man” was eventually leaked online more than two years later on August 21, 2018. It was released under the name “Elton Likes Me,” and was subsequently released a month later as “High.”
